This is an opportunity to show a live audience your individual talents in a great performance space in the centre of the city. Meet other creative minds and expand your fan base.

To have the opportunity for your own work to be performed in front of live audience each script must be in the following format:

1. Maximum of 1 script per night
2. Acceptable scripts are for: plays, screenplays, monologues, or sketches. For poetry or stand-up please see performers section.
3. Each script must be typed or printed.
4. Each piece must be no longer than 5 minutes in length.
5. Each piece must have a maximum of 5 characters.
6. The first page must include a synopsis, a full list of characters and the length of the script in minutes.
7. The characters dialogue must be obvious to the actors and where possible a characters dialogue must not cross over two pages.
8. On the night you will need to arrive at The Bluecoat at 6:00pm with copies (1 for each cast member, 1 for the director and 1 extra copy) of your script and let an organiser you are there.
9. We encourage you to bring any props required along within reason. Please contact us if you have any questions or need advice.

We do not judge the scripts but they will be refused if not in the acceptable format above.

Scripts will be taken from the forum in the order they are received plus we will accept scripts that arrive on the night.

There is no guarantee that your work will be performed on the night or that actors/directors will be available to perform your work. You are also welcome to organise your own actors/director but it is your responsibility to book tickets for yourself and the cast. Tickets are £3 and can be booked in advance via The Bluecoat.

If you are involved in any established pieces of theatre that have been cast and rehearsed please contact Organic Cherry with the details. From 9:30pm we have offer the space to show 15/20 minutes of performance. This could be used to promote an up and coming show or a previous piece of work.
