If Happy Little Blue Birds Fly
by Fiona Maher
  • "Lovely innocent scenario, believable and well played."
  • "Lovely descriptions – nicely put together."
  • "Wish I could have flown away out the window."
  • "Enjoyed the descriptive parts of the play – some good imagery."
  • "Very good. An ‘eye opener!’ The woman should have been better at the start. The moment when the man produced the white stick was excellent."
  • "Insightful. The things we take for granted and know nothing about."
  • "A poetic conversation – didn’t need the ending."
  • "Very thought provoking."
  • "Very well written, grabs your interest right away."
The Bradford Polar Bear
  • "Poignant."
  • "Short and funny. Poignant ending and well written short piece."
  • "Funny. Happy ending, love it."
  • "Good memory to remember all the poem. Nice loud, clear voice for us at the back."
  • "Fabulous recital."
  • "2009’s answer to Stanley Holloway and ‘Albert and The Lion’."
  • "Brilliant! Looked like Sam Beckett and a sexy polar bear."
  • "Lovely."
  • "Great entertainment and so poignant."
The Reunion
by Michelle Greer
  • "Intriguing script, reminds me of an Arthur Miller play. Like the American accent of Bella."
  • "Good dialogue! Want to know more!"
  • "What is the context? Where is it set?"
  • "Nothing happened!"
  • "Didn’t get it. Too obscure (plot)."
  • "Nice pace, would have liked to have seen more. Difficult to form an opinion with such a short section."
  • "Difficult with so many actors who did not know the script."
  • "Interesting set up. I felt there was more going on than actually appeared – this could be the genesis of an absorbing piece of work if it can be developed further."
  • "The Reunion went on a bit too long."
Dead Swimmers
by Chase Johnston-Lynch
  • "Liked the atmosphere of the play."
  • "Powerful."
  • "Captivating."
  • "OK."
  • "Supporting actors lacked conviction. Needed to project more. Therefore, the play was hard to follow.; Opening scene v. good."
  • "Good to see an all male cast. Really wanted to see more – to see the main characters develop."
  • "Excellent – it had staging/blocking which other performers lacked. Movement on stage."
  • "Powerful concept – strong script."
  • "Dead swimmers?"
  • "At last mantomime. Excellent. Next appearance clearer vocals from all actors. Transgender issues?"
  • "Project that voice. We’re deaf at the back! Looked very charismatic though."
The Rise and Fall of Mrs Millington
by Emma Jones
  • "Really funny, well written and well acted by all."
  • "Very traditional, none the worse for it and quite funny."
  • "Well acted by all, engaging and witty. Really enjoyed it."
  • "Really good script, good cut within the first half. Funny and would be great to see it acted without scripts."
  • "Funny."
  • "Good story – took a while to appear."
  • "Funny script – can relate to the interfering mother! Sharp dialogue, well acted."
  • "Pity couldn’t hear it very well but good what I could hear."
  • "Nothing wrong with a bit of ‘farce’ – would love to have seen this with more rehearsal."
  • "Pacy and good."
Murder in Toytown
by Jim Stanton
  • "Great but what happens next..?"
  • "Brilliant little script, actors really good too."
  • "Excellent performance from both actors. Very witty, well written. We want more from this writer."
  • "Nice piece but in wrong place! Audience had moved on from script in hand. It spoiled the natural flow of the evening. Why couldn’t it wait til OC2? The drive of the evening is like steering a car. 1st gear, 2nd, 3rd. Putting the script in hand was like hitting reverse instead of moving to 4th. Didn’t work."
The Land of Nod
Director: Chase Johnston-Lynch.
  • "Totally out of focus, sound quality not good either. Story idea ok, badly filmed – some nice shots – loved B&W touch."
  • "Visuals on 'Land of Nod' very good."
  • "Short and sweet. Excellent."
Ignorance Is Bliss
Director: Julie Patel
  • "Very good. Funny, shot well. Sound was good. Story worked well. The end was excellent."
  • "Loved ‘Ignorance is Bliss’"
  • "Nice little short, with little twists. Nice one."
Cody Urban Dance
  • "Great, fantastic but gave too much at once. Fewer dances would be better to leave you wanting more. Then come back next month."
  • "Excellent."
One Heart, One Voice
  • "Nicely filmed, sound quality quite good – but needs to have visual/audio needs to be tighter – loved live number. Go 4 it"
The Ass Code
by Rob Reeves
  • "Lovely entertainment."
  • "Script was a good one."
  • "The monk on the last play was great too."
General comments
  • "Star of the evening Rinty Boo."
  • "Opening script section needs intro for every script, needs better planning. Lose the tables, too obstructive, only need one interval."
  • "Highlights – poet (brill) Chase’s film (pity about sound quality). Evening needs a bit more zip but great job!"
  • "Excellent night. I especially liked the compere, he was brilliant."
  • "The best."
  • "Couldn’t hear it at the back – project that voice!"
  • "Need microphones on stage."
  • "I was expecting to see the directing process not just a final performance."
  • "(Only saw 2nd half) – script was a good idea.Mainly it needs to be curated. Some was great, some was very far from. It’s ok with work in progress if the work is good. Great idea. Two acts is enough, unless you want to make it a ticket per act event…"
  • "Night should just be in two halves and maybe shorter as I noticed a few people leaving before the end of the night. Some slight viewing issues – more related to venue. Sat at back – difficult to see and hear sometimes. Overall, good mixture of acts, lots of talent, brilliant idea – Organic Cherry."
  • "Whooi. The end of the world is nigh."
  • "Maybe something setting the scene upfront first."
  • "Unfortunately, most performances suffered because of no sound enhancement."
  • "Si je reste 1H de plus je vais devenir FOU!" (IF I stay here for 1 hour more I will become fool!)
